JVC Picsio review and giveaway

We have been playing with this cute little JVC Picsio this week, read on to find out more  and how you could win yourself 1 of 2 that we are giving away valued at $299 each!

The JVC Picsio is the latest pocket cam to hit the market. The Picsio is designed for those who want a small, simple, camera that allows easy sharing and delivers high quality video and still images. Great for capturing family snaps and videos that are so precious in years to come ( I have been blubbering over old home videos this weekend *sniff*)

The Picsio shoots 8mpx stills and 1080p Full HD video for great results watching it on HDTV.  It also has image stabilisation to help keep those videos steady when your hand is a bit shaky. As well as 4x digital zoom.

The camera is about the size of a small mobile phone, which fits easily into your pocket or bag and comes in 2 colours – Black Ice, and Purple Passion. It boasts a stylish design with a case that features a tone-on-tone geometric pattern and chrome accents for a jewel-like appearance.

We have had fun playing with this the last week, and by we I generally mean the kids. It is super easy to use, and a perfect size for them.

Used in good lighting, the picture quality is very good. But as with any digital zoom, I really would avoid using it if possible. It is super easy to use, simple button to stop and start recording and you can easily switch from video to still picture and back again.

The camera comes bundled with software for easy editing and managing of your pictures and videos. It is windows only though, so I haven’t been able to try it out. But, even without, sharing your videos on youtube or through iTunes is very easy, no hassle with conversions just upload directly.
