Mother’s Day gift ideas
Mother’s Day is coming up (13th May) so we are all on the hunt for some great gift ideas. Mum doesn’t want any more slippers, dressing gowns or undies (except Patric, she still wants them) They are so boring, so why not get Mum something unique.
Photo Frames
You can’t got past photo frames, but you can’t be stingy or lazy, you have to put pictures in them too! If you are like me, you are always being nagged “You never give us any photos of the kids”
So last this is what I made last year (please bare in
mind, that I am terribly craftily challenged! So yours will look much better) The frame was only about $14 from Target. There is such a great range of scrap booking stickers and embellishments you could really make something special.
You could also make a scrap book page and frame it. Digital scrap booking is cheap and easy and you can get some really beautiful results.
Digital photo frames are a great idea too. They have really come down in price in the last 6mths. You can pick them up from $100 and you could keep Mum up to date with all your pictures without the hassle of printing and framing. They can play music and videos too, you could get the kids to make a cute video for Nana.
Pampering
Why not take Mum out for a bit of pampering. What about a pedicure, facial or massage. Something we girls rarely get for ourselves and make Mum feel really special. Of course, you would have to get one for yourself while you are waiting.
These are so cute, and would make great gifts for all sorts of occasions, not just Mother’s Day. Littler Critter’s makes a range of handmade, unique gifts from your children’s hand prints.
Of course we can’t forget the handmade gifts, paintings and crafts made by the kids. They are always sure to bring a big smile to Mum’s face. If you don’t have kids, get the cat or dog to make something..I’m sure she will be equally as proud.
What are you getting your Mum? What is the best Mother’s Day present you have received?

What a great Blog..
Neat ideas for Mothers Day.
This Mother’s day is going to be a sad one for me.I lost my Mom in January. She was 79..
But I have two beautiful children..
Keep up the good blog..
Loved reading about your mother’s day crafts, I may have to try it this year.
I was so excited when I saw that little critters idea. What a wonderful presant that would be for my mum of her grandchildren.
Something different from the same usual things.
I want a new cardy (THE ONES FROM TARGET YOU HEAR ME).
I just ordered my mum a pendant for Mother’s Day which doubles as a brooch. I think you can’t go wrong with something pretty – it is always nice to buy something that maybe they wouldn’t usually buy for themselves.
