Recycle your old computer for free with Apple

Apple has announced it will be offering recycling for any brand of personal computer, printers and cartridges or computer related peripheral for free (a limit of 20 systems per car load) in an environmentally responsible manner.

The recycling will be available across 5 locations in Sydney on the 21-22 July and in 6 locations in Melb on the 28-29 July.

What products are not accepted through Apple’s Recycle program?
They will not be accepting copiers, TVs, overhead projectors, batteries not integral to computer systems, cracked or broken CRT monitors, UPS units, contaminated equipment of any kind, or any other universal or hazardous waste prohibited by local, state or federal government.

There’s never been a better time to recycle your old computers. This is a great opportunity to get rid of all those old and unwanted computers and parts knowing they will be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way..for free!

Could you please advise of the five areas that Apple will be recycling? Or where do I go to search for these areas? Many thanks. Jo
  • Anything that saves the environment has got to be a positive thing. :)

Bit of a shame that the rest of Australia isn't being included though. :(
