What about Mineral Makeup, we have just recently discovered this and it truely stays, does not melt away in the heat, looks and feels great on the skin. I know it is a bit of a buzz word at present, but good mineral makeup is truely wonderful

Hi Pricilla! When looking for waterproof makeup, look for products containing oil, which are usually creamy in texture. For foundation, try cake/stick foundation or a creme/mousse. These have stronger staying power than a liquid. Any creme blush, eyeshadow & lipstick will survive moisture better than powder. Most makeup brands have creme options in their range, but these are rarely marketed as ‘waterproof’. For eyeliner, Napoleon Perdis have a cake eyeliner with a sealer which makes it waterproof.

Thank you for taking the time to research this. I am one woman who doesn’t wear make up often like Cindy, but when I do I want to know what products will give me the best coverage and also the best bang for my money.

I was recently working up in the North West of WA and the public telephone receiver melted in my hand (the plastic felt like choc mousse) so you can imagine what happened to my lipsticks!

I ended up putting them in my husband’s esky and promptly forgot them – can you imagine the reaction when his mates went for a beer and found him with a full set of Spring Clinique lipsticks!!

When it comes to makeup, I am always lost. There are so many products and information to process. Thank you for simplifying a mystifying subject for me. I tend to just avoid the issue and forego the makeup. Although sometimes I wouldn’t mind dressing up a bit, then I just grab my sparsely filled makeup bag.
